Educating a new generation of African leaders

I've already mentioned Ashesi University on this blog. The latest speech of Patrick Awuah at TED Global is now available and I couldn't pass on the opportunity to share it here.

"Unless Africa pays more attention to how it trains its leaders, there won't be much progress," he often contends. "Africa can only be transformed by enlightened leaders".

This guy is great! Wow. That's what i call a fresh message.
I didn't hear from him before, neither from the ashesi university.
I attended a workshop a couple of weeks ago. I dont know if Mr Awuah also did the same, but i recognized some technics, the speaker explained there.
You have to keep your audience interested in what you are saying. Most of the time, the best way is to get them "emotional" involved.
Mr Awuahs example about power failure in hospital was just fine. Pay attention at his voice at 1:38, 1:57, 2:02. Great move!
And he is right: educating the new generation of africans (not only african leaders), is all what developing africa is about.

«And i also learnt, it also can be helpful to think about girls.»
Loool, giant!
